'Things'

It is very practical to give things a name, so sentences can be spoken: please put the pan with potatoes on the table. It is also useful to know that you must not eat the pan but the potatoes.

If 'things' are explored, it is experienced and seen that they do not have an indwelling self and owe their function to the consciousness perceiving them. Without consciousness giving the name 'table' to it, the concept of 'table' cannot exist.

Things don't exist. A baby finds the mother-breast, unaware of the name 'mother-milk' or 'breast'.

Self-knowledge needs no knowledge, but awareness of Knowing.
